I will tell you a little about some of the best wine bars the city has to offer, so you can easily find what you are looking for.
My Top 3 Milwaukee Wine Bars
1. Pastiche Bistro & Wine Bar – Pastiche is a cozy, inviting establishment that functions as a bistro and wine bar all in one. The menu consists of seasonally changing French dishes. They also do whatever possible to use ingredients from local sources. They have an excellent selection of wines, consisting mostly from European countries like Spain, Italy, and France. They do not offer reservations for lunch, but they recommend reservations for dinner. They are my top rated establishment!
2. Vino 100 Milwaukee – Vino 100 Milwaukee is located in the Third Ward, and offers a warm, sophisticated, embracing atmosphere to relax and enjoy over 150 great wines on an afternoon or night on the town. Inside, the walls are lined with neatly displayed bottles arranged by flavor and body, not varietal and region. This makes shopping for the wine as enjoyable as the drinking. The By-the Glass list changes regularly and is designed with flights in mind, to help guests explore several different wines during their visit! Pair your wine with a wide varietal of artisan cheese and cheesespreads from the state’s top producers.
3. Thief Wine Shop & Bar – Thief Wine prides itself on providing great value and selections of wines from around the world to their customers. Their flagship location is located inside the Milwaukee Public Market, but have recently opened a 2nd location in Shorewood. The wine bar offers up to 35 wines by the glass, so there is someting for everyone!
If yo are thirsty for some quality wine, and are in Milwaukee you can’t go wrong with any of these establishments.
